About Jamie Clahane
Jamie graduated with a masters degree from seminary in 2006, where she studied both theology and counselling, and soon began her counselling career.
Jamie is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and is a member of the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care. She works from an eclectic clinical orientation, drawing heavily upon psychosynthesis, grief and existential therapies for the psycho-spiritual health of the people she works with.
In 2015, she completed her long and arduous Clinical Pastoral Education training (CPE) at the advanced level with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (formerly known as CAPPE) – the governing body responsible for training and certifying chaplains across Canada. In 2014 she completed spiritual direction training at the Mount Carmel Spiritual Centre in Niagara Falls to deepen her counselling ministry.
Jamie is a clinical counsellor with special training in pastoral care. She is able to address the psychological, emotional and spiritual dimensions of the human person that are always intimately intertwined in the process of healing and recovery. Jamie is from the Christian tradition and engages a spirit of ecumenism and inclusivity in her work.
